EPIC Drive Strap

Copyright Ó 2006 Vaughn Custom Sports

The Epic pad is designed for movements to be lead by the skate. It features dual scoop straps and a unique anti-rotation stabilizer drive strap.  These functions prevent pad rotation and time delay or sloppiness from the first movement of the skate to be transferred to the pad, giving quicker movement and better control.  The extra stability keeps the pad more square to the puck and aids in better equipment positioning when recovering from the ice.

Step 1: Lace the buckle attachment to the outside of your skate. This piece stays on the skate and is not removed.  It can be moved along the lace area of the skate for different strap placements.

Step 2: Pull the long end of strap under your skate and attach it to the buckle that was laced onto your skate.  The tighter the strap is pulled the less pad rotation you will have to the outside of the leg.

Step 3: Attach all other straps on pads as you normally would.
